Going on an Egg Hunt

This evening our church had a new fellowship event, An Easter Egg Hunt.

It was so cool. Mass hysteria, kids gone wild, running rampant. There were eggs in the hallway, in the classrooms, everywhere. They tried to give the little kids like Sam a head start, but he only had seconds to take his time and find before other (faster) kids zoomed in snatching eggs.

He was adorable, and got the hang of it right off. Mama wasn't thinking clearly, and hadn't grabbed an Easter basket from home, so Sam gathered a couple eggs, and got quite flummoxed when he couldn't pick up any more. And a kind church friend rustled up a plastic bag for Sam and I.

He was more interested in the Finding than the aquisition or storage of said eggs. The church did an excellent time saving item. All the eggs were empty, saying they were empty because the Tomb was empty.

It was such mass hysteria, I wasn't able to get any pictures but this one of the boys together. Chris took off one direction, and Sam in another. I took Sam around, and our friend Jenny took Chris. Both boys got quite the haul of eggs.

At the end, we were waiting in line to turn our eggs in for gift baggies, that our MOPS group had stuffed last week. Sam didn't want to let the egg go. He finally did let go, because we had to go 'Fine Bao' (find brother). Sam's becoming the responsible one, and we had a great time!
