Hoof in mouth

I know, I haven't written in entirely too long. We moved the big stuff on the 16th of July, and have been trying to move the little stuff ourselves, which is taking longer. No pictures available with no internet, and its going to be a while before I get a good chunk of time to play with the computer, which is currently in pieces all over the new house.
All 4 of his 2 year molars have broken through, the second to last a couple weeks ago, but moving very slowly. The last, the upper left, has just broken through, but isn't fully up.
And did I mention he can say Sam now? Yes.
Sam is a talking maniac, growing up way faster than should be fair. He's Momma's little magpie, repeating everything I say. Or Chris says. Or Daddy says. Or the radio or anyone. Anywhere. Sometimes it borders on annoying. I really have to watch my phraseology. Right now, he's picking up lincoln logs, chanting, Pickming up and putting in. (Picking them up and putting them in) He's such an amazing little helper. Sometimes.
Today hasn't been his best day. He's a boy on the edge, but he has good reason.
Yesterday we were sitting at Chick Fil-A having a lovely celebration luncheon (as is our tradition) for the last day of Swim Class. Sam and Chris had just finished playing, and come back for some ice cream. I glanced at Sam's hands to clean them, and realized he had a blister on his index finger...no wait on most of his fingers, on both of his hands.

Oh no.

Yeah, we finished our ice cream and hightailed it out of there. I was fairly sure it's Hand, Foot, and Mouth disease. After doing a bit of research, I'm sure. He was feeling mousy this week, a little clingy, but he'd spent a few days at Grandma's while we worked hard trying to put the finishing touches on moving out of the old house. Not quite done with that, but much progress was made. Thursday night was a slumber party, and he came home Friday evening with diarrhea. With yesterday's developments, I see it all clearly. He may have had a fever Thursday, but I am not sure, it's been so hot lately, in the high 90s with obnoxious humidity, who can tell? He had been sleeping decently, then started not. He's been sleeping on a mattress in the same room with big brother and we've been batting back and forth as to whether it was a good move or not. I've accidently fallen asleep on that mattress with him many times, I think he's getting annoyed. We had a few good days sleep last weekend, all in our own beds, but last night, he was atrocious, waking no less than 4 times, crying out for me. Chris isn't a fan of Sam's sleepless nights either.
His appetite hasn't diminished. He wants peon bu'er samish just as often as brother. His world stops for Cottage Cheese, which he's upgraded from Cah Dee, to Caj Chesse. And Tootsie Rolls. Although eating less is a sign of Hand Foot and Mouth virus, it doesn't seem to be one Sam has. But he's got the owie blisters. That's enough in my book.
