Sam's new word "Weaveout": to leave without. Used in the sentence the other night, 'Don't weaveout me.' or 'Daddy and Bonno weaveout us.' when Daddy and brother went errand running on Sunday without us.
Last week, he got some fruity oh's for a snack, and it made big brother crazy, and made Sam sugary happy. The next day, it must've went Right through him, filling his diaper three times with foulness whose like I have not seen since Chris's ostomy days. And the color was super bright green. By the time we got home, the pantless wonder's bottom was bright red, rashy, and starting to a little bloody. Into the tub he went and he felt better.
So I have stopped him from fruity oh's, or fruit loops, but we rarely buy brand name. I don't know if I'm going to go cold turkey on all things, but I sense we're going to be kicking down the artificial colors and flavors for a while.
Last night, he said the prayer with Daddy as we got ready for bed: Sam's Prayer: "Hefenly Faver, Fank you for vis day. Thank you for Sunshine, Bedtime, (both Care Bears), and coins in my piggy bank." Tonight, with just me it was "Hefenly Faver. We fank you for this book, and this house, and our beds, and our jammies and Daddy, and sweet dreams."
My word he's enchanting. But he has his fussy side too.
He has tantrums daily that involve him flopping on the ground. I ignore them, but my phobia of germs makes that hard when we're in public. At home, he'll flop at me, then I ignore him, so he comes around in my face and flops some more. We've begun timeouts for the tantrums and not listening. But that doesn't work much either.
I thought they were just related to the colds we seem to swapping around here. It's been one week sick, one week healthy for over a month. At least those one healthy weeks coincided with our Disney World trip and Christmas. But Sam is starting coughing again today, so I wonder if we're due for another illness. But I can't blame the fussage completely on the cooties. Sam's just full of Sass! If Chris is playing with his legos, Sam will go in, and slide his arm across sending all of them flying. This has happened a few times this week, so when timeouts were ineffective, and Chris couldn't hide them fast enough, now all the legos are in timeout.
I have a friend who says her daughter has more sass in her pinky finger than her other children combined. Yup. Sam is Feisty. Christopher used all his feist for healing and strength. Sam just uses it for sweetness and sass, changing between the two like the weather in the winter in Indiana
